Demolition |
| Demolishers are responsible for the 'tearing down' of existing buildings and structures in a safe and controlled manner. Forms of demolition include manual and mechanical with excavators and hydraulic equipment and in some cases with large scale demolition - implosion. Deconstructors are a reasonably new form of 'demolition', deconstruction is the greener approach whereby buildings and structures are careful dismantled so that the materials can be salvaged for re-use or recycling. This reduces landfill by up to 90% with proper planning and also can provide a more economical return then traditional demolition. Asbestos Treatment, Demolition and Removal of asbestos and asbestos products is governed by a specific code of practice and can only be undertaken whilst following strict guidelines due to the carcinogenic nature of this substance. Removal of Debris from Construction Sites is often the most labour intensive part of demolition. Obviously a clean site is a safe site, but also allows access for further works to be done if required. |
